Cat Nebula is the first segment of the 9th episode of Season 1 of Tom and Jerry Tales. It is the twenty-fifth episode overall in the series. It premiered on February 17th, 2007. It is directed by Douglas McCarthy, story by Richard Pursel and Earl Kress, teleplay by Earl Kress and storyboard by Charles Visser.
Synopsis[]
Jerry stumbles upon some dehydrated energy capsules and consumes a year's supply. He quickly gains weight, facing the consequences of his actions.
Plot[]
In space, Captain Jerry and his Assistant Tuffy are flying in their rocket, Jerry press the red button and turn his chair and looks at Tuffy tied up, but he just wanted the snacks.
Then he turn his chair and look at the red button. Just then, a green Alien Squid appears, his head looks just like Tom and goes to the spaceship. Jerry look at his stomach tumbled, then he press the button and reveals the bottle of dehydrated energy capsule. He looks at the dehydrated energy capsule and put it in his mouth and swallow. Then, Tuffy ask Jerry wants some dehydrated energy capsules, but Jerry eats all the dehydrated energy capsules. Suddenly, Jerry grows bigger causing the chair breaks.
Tuffy looks at Jerry, he grow bigger and bigger. Jerry looks at the bottle of dehydrated energy capsules and see no water allowed, but Jerry looks really sick. Jerry tries to walk but he wobbles. The Squid sees Jerry become bigger and imagines him as a turkey. Squid tries to open the spaceship window but he is too tired. Then, he tries to goes to spaceship window and he crashes onto the spaceship, Jerry wobbles in the spaceship. Tuffy turn the chair and press the red button with his foot and call the doctor.
The Squid is thinking to catch Jerry, but the Squid goes into spaceship nozzle. Jerry is getting dizzy, Tuffy tells him to hang on. Jerry press the red button causing the spaceship nozzle to burn the Squid and turn him into ashes but the ashes blown away. Jerry is rubbing his head, while Tuffy goes to Jerry and informed Tuffy called the doctor.
As soon the spaceship door is open, Droopy appear saying "I’m the doctor". He goes to Jerry to tell to watch your cart mister and Droopy walks away and say I will toss you a salad. The Squid appears and see Tuffy, but, he licking the window and Tuffy runs away, Jerry gets up and run away too.
Tuffy goes to chair and press the button with his right foot, The Squid looks at the window. When, Suddenly, the laser gun is about to shoot him, but the Laser gun tries to shoot at the Squid and the laser gun shoot him and he turn into ashes. Tuffy say take that alien pussy cat, The Squid shaking himself from the ashes and he uses the crew at to open the spaceship door.
Suddenly, the pile of trashes flew out of the spaceship, but the Squid ducks down and stick his tongue and the bags goes into Squid's mouth. He tries to open the spaceship but he knocks onto the spaceship and he open the small door. The Squid goes into the Tap, Jerry goes to weapons closet causing the doors open and reveals the space weapons. And Suddenly, the Squid comes out from the tap and they get attacked by him that tries to eat Jerry.
So, Jerry takes the blaster gun and he is about to shoot him but it shot it to the mirror causing the air come out. The Squid is going to eat him, but he walks away. The Squid looks at the hole on the mirror, but he sucks him away. Jerry running while he carrying his blaster gun and looks at the Squid, he is tuck in the hole on the mirror, so he pull himself out and run to Jerry.
So, he uses his blaster gun and shoots at the Squid but he turn into ashes again. Then, the Squid wipes himself from ashes with his tentacles and chases Jerry. He uses the blaster gun trying to shoot him, but he ducks down from the fire causing the spaceship has holes, so Jerry flees from him, but he looks at the blaster gun Low battery so he tosses it away causing the blaster to shoot the Squid. Jerry goes to the door, but the Squid appears and pick up the blaster gun causing the blaster gun shoot at his face, but his head turn into ashes.
He goes to the door but the one eyed monster scares him, but the squid ran away. So, he take the one eyed monster head and reveal Droopy who disguise as a red eyed monster. As the Squid lift the drain hole cover and looks for Jerry, but Tuffy appears and imagines as a sushi and bites the tentacle causing the Squid to scream so he lift his tentacle and see Tuffy biting his tentacle as he runs away.
Then, the Squid is about to eat Tuffy, until Jerry walks backward to the door, but he bumps into Squid and rolling like a wheel until it goes to the bomb store room until they crashes into the launcher. The Squid squeeze Jerry harder, but Jerry press the red button causing the bomb shelf goes into the Squid causing Jerry to shrinks like a balloon and lands onto the ground. Jerry is very happy to back to normal.
He looks at the Squid is stuck, but Jerry tries to run away until the Squid grabs him, but he close the bomb launcher door sending the Squid, Jerry and the Bomb into space and shoot them into space. But it was too late.
In space, Captain Tuffy is flying in his rocket while he's watching the constellations of Jerry and the Squid. Jerry waves hello to him in space until the Squid chases him around space and the episode ends. Goodbye.

Errors[]
- When Alien Squid screams after being bit by Tuffy, his muzzle is colored dark green.
