Appearance[]

Just like in the 1939 film, Dorothy has brown hair in pigtails with blue bows, a white blouse with blue pinafore and black shoes, later the ruby slippers.

Dorothy Gale is slender, charming, striking, stunning, pretty, graceful, fair, fancy, wonderful, marvelous, lovely, radiant, beautiful, good-looking, elegant, exquisite, and gorgeous 14-year-old young girl with fair skin, long-flowing and curly dark reddish-brown hair, and nice blue eyes. She keeps her brown hair in two braided pigtails with light blue bows/ribbons until her hair was now in a bow and now only has a light blue bow on top of her head after a makeover at Emerald City.

Her signature outfit is she wears a light blue pinafore gingham dress over a white shirt with short puffy sleeves and light blue lacing. Underneath her dress is a white petticoat and panties, light blue ankle socks, and black lace-up shoes, until she wears the Ruby Slippers on her feet whilst on the journey to the Emerald City.

Personality[]

She is known as kind, brave, determined, imaginative, forgiving, musical, curious, resilient, very beautiful, graceful, pretty, truly lovely, and fair on the inside and outside. She can also be sweet, daring, dreamy, honest, loving, good-natured, innocent, very smart, and protective of Toto. She loves being around her farm and her little dog too. She is also kindhearted, compassionate, clever at times, wise, insightful, logical, intelligent, and resourceful. She is also sensitive such as when Miss Gulch took Toto away from her, being trapped in the Witch of the West's castle, and when the "Wizard" betrayed her by leaving in his hot-air balloon without her. Though she can be outspoken when she shows this by confronting Miss Gulch and the Lion respectively, as well as the Wizard for bellowing at the Lion.

Trivia[]

  • In the sequel, Dorothy claimed that she'd be 15 eight months after the sequel takes place. This makes her 14 years old in both films. Since the original film was released in August and the sequel took place immediately afterwards, this would imply that her birthday is in April.
  • Dorothy is left-handed.
  • In the original The Wizard of Oz movie, Dorothy is played by the late Judy Garland.
  • Her face resembles Red.
